Wells Fargo (Infosys McCamish System) Data Breach Lawsuit

According to a filing with the Maine Attorney General's Office, the Wells Fargo data breach stemmed from a ransomware attack that targeted Infosys McCamish Systems, a third-party service provider. The unauthorized access occurred between October 29 and November 3, 2023, during which threat actors gained access to systems containing Wells Fargo customer information. The breach was initially discovered in November 2023, with Wells Fargo being identified as an affected organization on October 21, 2024. Infosys McCamish is currently sending out data breach notification letters to impacted Wells Fargo customers, detailing the specific types of information that may have been compromised.
