On June 10, 2024, Kovack Financial also confirmed that emails were viewed by an unauthorized party between August 15, 2023 and September 5, 2023. Data breach letters were sent out by Kovack Financial on July 9, 2024 informing affected individuals about the nature of the incident and compromised data.
