Infosys McCamish Systems Data Breach Class Action Investigation

What Happened?

A recent report from the Maine Attorney General's office reveals that Infosys McCamish Systems fell victim to a ransomware attack on November 2, 2023. Between October 29 and November 2, 2023, unauthorized parties gained access to the company's network and extracted confidential files containing sensitive consumer information. The investigation, completed on May 28, 2024, led to an expanded notification process, with the latest update being filed on October 21, 2024, adding three major financial institutions to the list of affected entities. They are Wells Fargo, Continental Casualty Company, and The Nolan Financial Group. On October 21, 2024, Infosys McCamish Systems sent out data breach letters on behalf of these companies notifying affected individuals of the breach.
