What Happened?

According to a notice filed with the Massachusetts AG Office, Ernst & Young reported a data breach involving one of its support platforms. The platform was reportedly accessed by an unauthorized third party between March 28, 2026, and April 12, 2026. Information exposed in the breach reportedly included full names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, and financial account information. Affected clients were notified by mail beginning in July 2026. Documents containing client tax information were reportedly downloaded during the incident. Affected individuals were offered complimentary identity monitoring and restoration services.
