A data breach at DentaQuest exposed sensitive personal and health information belonging to millions of dental plan members, including names, addresses, Social Security numbers, and health insurance information. What Happened?According to a notice filed with the Massachusetts AG Office, DentaQuest experienced unauthorized access to information stored within its computer network. The unauthorized access reportedly occurred between May 17, 2026, and May 20, 2026. Information exposed in the breach reportedly included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, member identification numbers, Medicaid and Medicare numbers, and dental and vision health information. DentaQuest has reported that the breach may have affected more than 15 million individuals. Affected individuals were notified by mail beginning in July 2026, and 24 months of credit monitoring were offered.
