A recent report from the Attorney General of Vermont's office states that The Longleaf Network data breach occurred due to a cyber security incident. Longleaf recently identified a cybersecurity incident that may have exposed sensitive consumer information.
On May 29, 2024, the company detected suspicious activity on its IT network and took swift action to contain the incident, notify law enforcement, and initiate an investigation. The findings confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed parts of the network between May 19 and May 29, 2024. Further review determined that some of the compromised files contained confidential consumer data. The compromised data includes the sensitive information of consumers.
Data breach letters were sent out by The Longleaf Network on March 3, 2025, informing affected individuals about the nature of the incident and compromised data.
