Data Breach Incident Details

A recent report from the Attorney General of Maine states that Saint Louis University was compromised due to a cyber security attack on March 2, 2023. SLU detected suspicious activity within certain email accounts. The university secured their systems and launched an investigation that confirmed that on April 24, 2023, personal information was found in the compromised email accounts. It was also determined that a limited number of documents stored on Saint Louis University’s SharePoint and OneDrive platforms were also subject to unauthorized access between December 2022 and July 2023. Data breach letters were sent out by Saint Louis University on March 15, 2024 informing affected individuals about the nature of the incident and compromised data.
