Rockport Mortgage Data Breach Class Action Investigation

According to the Vermont Attorney General's office, Rockport Mortgage discovered unauthorized access to their computer systems during October 2024. This prompted Rockport to report the incident to law enforcement and consult with cybersecurity experts to conduct an investigation. It was confirmed that hackers accessed parts of the company’s computer network that contained confidential information belonging to its customers. The data breach compromised sensitive information, including:

  • Names and dates of birth
  • Social Security numbers
  • Financial account information
  • Government-issued identification documents
  • Other personal identifiers

On November 15, 2024, Rockport Mortgage began sending detailed data breach letters to affected individuals explaining the scope and nature of the compromised information.
