A recent report from the Attorney General of Massachusetts states that the Riverside Resort & Casino data breach occurred due to a cyber security attack that was discovered on July 24, 2024 after the casino detected suspicious activity within its computer network. Riverside Casino launched an investigation that confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed consumer information stored on the casino’s computer network. Riverside Resort & Casino reviewed the files to determine which consumers were impacted and what information was compromised and this process was completed on August 9, 2024. While the breached information varies depending on the individual, it may include: 

  • names
  • Social Security numbers

Data breach letters were sent out by Riverside Resort & Casino on September 5, 2024 informing affected individuals about the nature of the incident and compromised data.
