This data breach was disclosed following a cyber security incident at RBN Insurance Services, which may have affected as many as 10,205 individuals, potentially exposing sensitive personal identifiable information.   ## What Happened? According to a report with the Maine Attorney General's office, an email security incident occurred at RBN Insurance Services. The data breach was first detected on May 15, 2024, when suspicious activity was discovered within an employee's email account. An investigation was launched hat revealed that unauthorized access persisted from March 5, 2024, until detection, exposing sensitive data including: - names, - Social Security numbers, - addresses, - dates of birth, - financial information, - medical information, - life insurance information, - and health insurance information.
