A recent report from the Attorney General of Vermont states that PruittHealth was compromised due to a cyber security attack that was discovered in November 2023 after the company learned that portions of its computer network was compromised. An investigation confirmed that the hackers accessed electronic files that were stored on PruittHealth’s servers. The hackers demanded that PruittHealth pay a ransom and later, on December 7, 2023, the hackers claimed the data was leaked. Data breach letters were sent out by PruittHealth on May 30, 2024 informing affected individuals about the nature of the incident and compromised data.
