OraSure Data Breach Details

A recent report from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) states that OraSure was compromised due to a cybersecurity incident.

On March 27, 2024, OraSure learned that an unauthorized party had gained access to its computer network. After notifying law enforcement, OraSure secured its network and began an investigation. This investigation confirmed this unauthorized party removed certain files from its network.

While OraSure Technologies notified the SEC on April 12, 2024, the company has not yet finished reviewing the data. Once the investigation concludes, OraSure should send out data breach letters to the victims.
