A recent report On Q Financial filed with the Attorney General of Maine describes the breach as stemming from a cybersecurity incident impacting one of its vendors. It goes on to describe that on February 20, 2024, ConnectWise’s ScreenConnect product contained a vulnerability which compromised On Q Financial consumer data.

On Q Financial secured its network and began a data breach investigation that ultimately confirmed customer data had leaked. By March 14, 2024, the company confirmed that the breach had impacted the names and/or Social Security numbers of more than 200,000 people.

On March 29, 2024, On Q Financial sent out data breach letters to anyone who was affected by the recent data security incident.
