Mystic Valley Elder Services Data Breach Class Action Investigation

According to a recent report filed with the Maine Attorney General's office, Mystic Valley Elder Services experienced a cybersecurity incident that was discovered on April 5, 2024. The data breach exposed sensitive data including:

  • dates of birth,
  • passport numbers,

  • online credentials,
  • Social Security numbers,
  • driver's license numbers,
  • health insurance information,
  • and medical information.

After containing the incident and notifying law enforcement, MVES completed their investigation on July 11, 2024. Data breach notification letters were sent out on October 22, 2024, informing all affected individuals about the specific nature of their compromised information.
