It was confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed confidential consumer information. The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company reviewed the files to determine which consumers were impacted and what information was compromised. Data breach letters were sent out by Lincoln Financial Group on August 12, 2024 informing affected individuals about the nature of the incident and compromised data.
