A recent report from the Attorney General of Montana states that the Liaison was compromised due to a cyber security attack that was discovered on May 27, 2024 after the company detected suspicious activity where an unauthorized party gained access to its computer system. An investigation confirmed that an unauthorized actor was able to access certain files containing confidential consumer information. Data breach letters were sent out by Liaison on June 14, 2024 informing affected individuals about the nature of the incident and compromised data.
