A recent report from the Attorney General of Maine states that the July Business Services was compromised due to a cyber security attack discovered on November 13, 2023. The company detected unusual activity within its email environment. An investigation was launched that confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to gain access to the company’s email environment on November 14, 2023, giving them access to certain files containing confidential consumer information. Data breach letters were sent out by July Business Services on March 27, 2024 informing affected individuals about the nature of the incident and compromised data.
