A recent report from the Attorney General of Massachusetts states that the Ernest Health was compromised due to a cyber security attack that was discovered on February 1, 2024 when the hospital was alerted to unusual activity within its computer network. The hospital secured their system and launched an investigation that confirmed that an unauthorized party gained access to its IT network between January 16, 2024 and February 4, 2024, including files containing confidential patient information.
