According to a filing with the Texas Attorney General, Elitecare Emergency Room detected suspicious activity in its systems on July 10, 2024. After disconnecting its systems and consulting with external cybersecurity experts, an investigation confirmed on July 17, 2024, that the breach was a cyberattack, exposing confidential patient data.
