Data Breach Incident Details

A recent report from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights states that the Eastern Radiologists was compromised due to a cyber security attack on November 24, 2023. The company detected a security threat related to suspicious activity within its IT network prompting them to launch an investigation. Eastern Radiologists confirmed on January 26, 2024 that an unauthorized party had gained access to its network between November 20, 2023 and November 24, 2023. It was also determined that the unauthorized party was able to access confidential information belonging to certain patients. Data breach letters were sent out by Eastern Radiologists on February 29, 2024 informing affected individuals about the nature of the incident and compromised data.

Based out of Greenville, North Carolina, Eastern Radiologists, Inc. is a healthcare services provider that provides a wide range of imaging services. These include CT scans, MRIs, radiography, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound. Eastern Radiologists also offers migraine treatment, oncologic interventions, and varicose vein treatment.
