A recent report from the Attorney General of Vermont states that the Lexington Medical Center was compromised due to a cyber security attack. On October 4, 2023, suspicious activity was detected, prompting the company to contain the incident and launch an investigation. It was later confirmed on January 18, 2024 that the breach exposed certain patient information. Data breach letters were sent out by Lexington Medical Center on February 14, 2024 informing affected individuals about the nature of the incident and compromised data.
