A recent report from the Attorney General of Massachusetts and a website notice posted by CarePro Health Services states that the company was compromised due to a cyber security attack. On November 16, 2023, the company experienced a network disruption that impacted their ability to access certain files. This prompted CarePro to launch an investigation that confirmed that an unauthorized third party had managed to gain access to their IT network around November 14, 2023. During this security breach, the unauthorized party acquired and potentially stole confidential information belonging to CarePro consumers. The compromised information contained sensitive consumer data that was only meant for internal CarePro access. Data breach letters were sent out by CarePro Health Services on January 15, 2024 informing affected individuals about the nature of the incident and compromised data.
CarePro Health Services is a Cedar Rapids, Iowa healthcare company offering home care, wellness, medical equipment, and pharmacy services through seven locations in the area.
