Data Breach Incident Details

A recent report from CBS news states that the CDK Global may have been compromised due to a cyber security attack on June 18, 2024. CDK shut down its data centers and IT systems which had an impact on the company’s 15,000+ car dealerships that use the software. The company tried to get systems back online on Wednesday but were unable to do so due to a second cyber security attack. CDK Global stated it plans to bring its systems back online on June 21, 2024. Data breach letters will need to be sent out by CDK Global informing affected individuals about the nature of the incident and compromised data once they are able to confirm that the breach happened.
