Data Breach Incident Details

A recent report from the Attorney General of California states that the Ambulnz was compromised due to a cyber security attack that was discovered on April 22, 2024 after the company discovered unusual activity within its IT network. Ambulnz secured its systems and launched an investigation that confirmed that an unauthorized actor accessed its computer network between April 21, 2024 and April 22, 2024. Patients who were transported by Ambulnz were affected, as well as patients of: Jefferson Health, Main Line Health, Mount Sinai Health System, and UCHealth. Ambulnz reviewed the files to determine which consumers were impacted and what information was compromised. Data breach letters were sent out by Ambulnz between June 21, 2023 and August 13, 2024 informing affected individuals about the nature of the incident and compromised data.
